Exploring Diversity This new online interactive learning exhibit from the Natural History Museum in London helps younger students begin to learn about the nature and complexity of understanding biodiversity.  Divided into small sections, this site includes many short exercises that will help students engage the concept of biodiversity. 
The Learning Web The Learning Web is part of the US Geological Survey website dedicated to education of children grades K-12.  Explore things on, in, around, and about the earth, such as land, water, plants, animals, and maps.  The site also contains lesson plans and activities for teachers.
Wade Into Watersheds Adopt-A-Watershed has released a new middle school curriculum, "Wade Into Watersheds".  Students will learn how water supports living things and how humans affect water quality.  Activities focus on the importance of water quality and ways students can protect it.  
Aqua Venturer Aqua-Venturer tells the story of water, its treatment and use throughout history (40,000 BCE-2080 CE), and its importance to life on Earth.  Aqua-Venturer highlights the vital role of clean water in the development of civilizations and is geared towards secondary students.  The accompanying Teacher Guide offers interdisciplinary, standards-based suggestions for using Aqua-Venturer in middle and high school classrooms and challenges students to discover their local environmental history to make environmental education tangible.  Developed by the Water Environment Federation (WEF), an international, not for profit, technical and educational services organization representing the water quality field.  This site requires the software  Macromedia Flash Player 6 which is available as a free download on the site.
Water Science Information from the U.S. Geological Survey about the many aspects of water, from what it is to how we use it.  This website includes pictures, data, maps, and an interactive center where you can test your water knowledge.
Exotic Species Compendium Developed by the Great Lakes Sea Grant Network, the classroom resource, Exotic Species Compendium of Activities to Protect the Ecosystem (ESCAPE) is a collection of 36 hands-on multi-disciplinary activities that incorporate experiments, art, music, and games.  ESCAPE introduces students to issues of exotic (non-native) aquatics: spread and transport, harmful effects posed, importance of environmental knowledge and responsibility of each student as an environmental steward.
