Natural History Museum in London helps younger students begin to learn
about the nature and complexity of understanding biodiversity.
Divided into small sections, this site includes many short exercises
that will help students engage the concept of biodiversity. |
| The
Learning Web |
The Learning Web is part of the US Geological Survey
website dedicated to education of children grades K-12. Explore
things on, in, around, and about the earth, such as land, water, plants,
animals, and maps. The site also contains lesson plans and
activities for teachers. |
| Wade
Into Watersheds |
Adopt-A-Watershed has released a new middle school
curriculum, "Wade Into Watersheds". Students will learn
how water supports living things and how humans affect water
quality. Activities focus on the importance of water quality and
ways students can protect it. |
| Aqua
Venturer |
Aqua-Venturer tells the story of water, its treatment and
use throughout history (40,000 BCE-2080 CE), and its importance to life
on Earth. Aqua-Venturer highlights the vital role of clean water
in the development of civilizations and is geared towards secondary
students. The accompanying Teacher Guide offers interdisciplinary,
standards-based suggestions for using Aqua-Venturer in middle and high
school classrooms and challenges students to discover their local
environmental history to make environmental education tangible.
Developed by the Water Environment Federation (WEF), an international,
not for profit, technical and educational services organization
representing the water quality field. This site requires the
software Macromedia Flash Player 6 which is available as a free
download on the site. |
| Water
Science |

aspects of water, from what it is to how we use it. This website
includes pictures, data, maps, and an interactive center where you can
test your water knowledge. |
| Exotic
